What to Bring:
Water bottle(s)
2 Snacks - DAILY
1 Lunch - DAILY
Sunscreen
Close toed (COMFY) shoes - DAILY
Swimsuit/Towel when applicable
Backpack to keep all your items together
Change of clothes in case of accidents, because we all know accidents can happen so it is best to be prepared!
What NOT to Bring:
Personal toys - We have lots of things at camp, and we don't want your awesome things getting lost
Books are the only exception! If it is a library book, keep good track of it, if it is your book, put you name on it!
Money!! There is NEVER a need to have cash/debit cards or any of the like at camp
Weapons of ANY kind!! Real, fake, toy, homemade - doesn't matter, leave these things at home
Electronics of ANY KIND!!! We are at summer camp! Here to run around, laugh, play, engage with friends, NOT stare at screens
Smart watches i.e. Apple Watches, Gizmos, etc. - These CAN be brought to camp, provided they are put in SCHOOL MODE or kept in a backpack! We understand these devices give parents the comfort of knowing where their kiddos are, but rest assured they are safe with us. If there is anything a parent needs to be contacted about, a staff member will reach out using the appropriate contact methods.
If your child is abusing the Smart Watch rules, the watch will be asked to stay on the Director's Desk while at camp
Candy! We do not need candy brought to camp! If you are sending a piece or two with your kiddo in their lunch, that's a great dessert! However, please don't send an abundance of candy/anything to share.
What to Wear:
Comfy clothes - Active wear is encouraged
Sneakers/Running Shoes/Tennis Shoes whatever you call these category of shoes, this is your best bet!
Prepare for any weather
Don't wear anything with foul language or inappropriate topics/images
Be prepared to be active! This is camp, not Milan Fashion Week, be ready for anything!
If it is a Field Trip Day - CAMP SHIRTS ARE MANDATORY FOR EVERYONE
If it is a swim day, you can come wearing your swimsuit under your clothes, but don't feel like you have to, we will allow time to change
Sandals/Flip flops/Crocs are allowed on swim days, at the pool ONLY
Director Tips:
Fill out your paperwork early
Be in communication about any special needs/accommodations your child has or may need
LABEL EVERYTHING and we do mean EVERYTHING!!
Review the Parent Manual prior to your child's first day of camp
Send your campers with more food - always err on the side of too much non-perishable food as it is always better to have leftovers
Keep track of your Summer of Fun Day Camp Shirt! These need to be worn every Field Trip day to help ensure the safety of the campers - Additional shirts can be purchased from camp - Price $14.00
